Man's Greatest Adventure Poster

This poster presents a step-by-step review of what it took to put a man on the moon. The Mercury Program launched the first Americans into space. The two-man Gemini Program proved that people could survive for long periods of time and actually leave the protected space vehicle and walk in space. The Apollo Earth Orbit Program tested the equipment and the Apollo Moon Program accomplished the goal, putting a man on the moon.  This spectacular poster provides highly detailed illustrations of the launch vehicles, spaceships (the astronauts did not like them being called “capsules”) and astronauts. Informative captions explain the importance of each step. The central image is the Eagle landing on the moon’s surface with the Earth in the background.
